Sol del Niño museum is born as the result of the social vision and effort of a group of people from Mexicali proud of their roots and culture, led by Lady María Elena Blackaller de Elorduy.
 
To ensure proper operation and strengthen ties with the community was formed as a nonprofit Civil Association, supported by the efforts and goodwill of the Board and various levels of government.
 
Since its inception and to date has had the support of public and private institutions, companies and individuals committed to education, which has enabled the construction, equipment and continuing growth.
